Nigersaurus had one of the weirdest skulls of all the dinosaurs, shaped like a vacuum cleaner head. It also has a relatively short neck for a sauropod, and is one of the smallest sauropods on record. This medium-size dinosaur cropped plants in northern Africa during the early Cretaceous, about 110 million years ago.

  • Scientific Name: Nigersaurus taqueti
  • Characteristics: Nigersaurus was a plant eater with a moderately long neck, a long tail, and an unusual skull with a broad square snout, similar in shape to the head of a vacuum cleaner. Its wide jaws contained over 500 tiny peg-like teeth. Nigersaurus walked on all fours and its front legs are slightly shorter than its hind legs. It grew up to 33 feet long.
  • Size and Color: This figure is 8 inches long and 3.5 inches high. It has green body and legs with a cream underbelly.
